To help Young Australians who are being left behind
There are many Young Australians who are being left behind because they don’t have regular access to the internet. With the current Covid-19 Situation and the push for kids to remain at home and learn online, access to data is increasingly important.
At the same time, while we are all at home isolating, many of us have access to home internet (wifi) and therefore don’t need as much data from our mobile phone sim plans as we usually require. This is the perfect opportunity to donate some of your data from your eligible Mobile plan. Your donated data will provide much needed internet access to young Australians who need it most, so they can learn, create and connect with the world around them.
HOW DOES IT WORK? (Quoted from Optus website)
By giving a mobile service to participants of the program and inviting our customers to donate their data, we’re providing internet access to the young people who need it most.
People in need get a Prepaid SIM with data plus unlimited calls and text every 42 days. Every month, your data donations are pooled and then distributed as an added data boost to help young Australians realise their full potential.
