How Much Is Your Smartphone Worth On eBay?

SELLING YOUR PHONE
could be the key to getting your next phone!

I’m the first to admit that when a new smartphone gets released, I’m tempted by the additional features.
The thing is, most of us can’t justify purchasing a new smartphone, or you might be stuck in a two year contract.

Well, eBay says there’s now $6.4 billion reasons to consider selling your old phone, and then using the money towards purchasing your next phone. eBay data estimated that there are $6.4 billion worth of second hand handsets sitting in drawers across Australia, with models selling for an average $286.

You can find how much your smartphone is worth by visiting: //www.ebay.com.au/s/phone
It grabs information from eBay based on past sales, and gives you a trending price.

I used this site to get a trending sale price for my Samsung Note 4:

SAMSUNG NOTE 4, GOLD
Recommended Retail Price: $1,099
Purchased in: September, 2015 – So I’ve been using this phone for roughly 7 months
Condition: Excellent, not one scratch on it

According to eBay, their top five best selling mobile handsets are:

1.    Apple iPhone 5 and 5S

2.    Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus

3.    Samsung Galaxy S6

4.    Apple iPhone 4S

5.    Samsung Galaxy S5

So, if you’ve got a spare phone or two lying around, try and sell it on eBay!
