HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Wishing you love, peace and laughter in 2018!
We hope you all had a wonderful festive season, and ready to bring on 2018! The New Year gives us a new 365 page book, giving us an opportunity to write a good one!
We have lots of exciting activities planned for 2018, so please keep your eye out for our weekly updates, and our social media announcements. If you want to be the first to know about library workshops and more, make sure you download our communications app to your smartphone or tablet, and you will get messages straight to your device! (Get in touch with us, and we can assist you, and step you through this over the phone)
Tech Tip time!
Many of us use the app WhatsApp to communicate with loved ones. It’s a personal favourite of mine, especially when communicating with those living overseas, or whilst travelling.
WhatsApp has announced that some operating systems will not be supported as of December 31, 2017, and will stop working on New Years Day.
The following phones will not be supported from 1 January, 2018:
Windows Phone 8.0 (or older versions of the operating system), BlackBerry OS or BlackBerry 10.
Support for the Nokia S40 will also stop after December 31 next year, while Android versions 2.3.7 and older will cease to function from February 1, 2020.
If you are using WhatsApp on any of the above mentioned phones, you may have to seek alternatives apps. If you need any help, please feel free to give us a call or send us an email!
