Margaret Hirschauer from Rosanna, VIC is one of many seniors who are seeing the benefits of technology. Her son in Dubai couldn’t believe she was “finally on Skype!”.

A TECHNOLOGICALLY savvy Banyule woman has launched a business that is helping people get their head around computers, phones and tablets.

Watsonia’s Lisa Du is the co-founder of ReadyTechGo, which trains people in the latest technology in their own homes and at their own pace.

The 25-year-old, who has a history in human resource management, said she and business partner Brad Donnini set up the company 12 months ago and already had a client base ranging in age from 16 to 96.

She said the business tutored people who were looking to use technology, whether it was for business or to contact loved ones living overseas.

“We used to talk a lot about our parents… my dad still prefers to go into the bank. Technology moves so quickly,” Ms Du said.

“And that’s what gave us the idea.”

She said it was an enjoyable process watching people understand technology.

“It’s one of the most rewarding jobs we’ve ever done,” she said.
