Technology seems to change everyday. These days, if you don’t own a smart phone, you will received a raised eyebrow, and a “Really, Why?”

There are many of you who own a smart phone, and may only use it to make calls and send messages. Perhaps you’re happy using a phone this way, and not being glued to the device.

Well, for those who are wondering “what else” a smart phone can do, and how it earned the title “smart phone”, please read on. We have discovered some great things that smart phones can do that make our personal and working life much more efficient. When you work more efficiently, you can spend more time doing things that you love.

That’s why we have smart phones right?

Apple iPhone users:

Set a timer to switch off music – If you like falling asleep to music and wished your iPhone was smart enough to switch off music when you’ve dozed off…. then here’s how to make it happen:
1. Choose the music or playlist you want to listen to in the Music App
2. Next, go to the Clock app and choose the Timer section. Set when you want the music to stop playing (30 mins,1 hour, 2 hours, etc.).
3. When that is complete, choose “When Timer Ends”. Go all the way to the bottom and choose “Stop Playing.”
4. Finally, hit the “Start” button. The timer will begin counting down.

Try it… and Sleep sweet tonight…

Use Headphone cord to take a photo – The iPhone headphones aren’t just for listening to music. It also doubles up as a trigger to take a snapshot using the volume up or down buttons on your headphone.

Activate Text-To-Speech on iPhone – This is one of our favourites, and especially handy when you’re multi-tasking!   Activate the Text-To-Speech function and let your iOs read our highlight text to you. Just sit back, and let iOs read out emails, articles, or the news!
