What is The Tiny and Mysterious Hole on Your iPhone?

INNOVATION, PACKED SMALL
That tiny hole with a big role

Have you ever taken a long hard look at your iPhone and wondered why there are so many tiny holes on your device?

Over the years, Apple has packed their iPhones with more and more exciting features.

Turn your iPhone around so that you are looking at the rear of your iPhone.

See the hole next to the camera?

This tiny indentation is a small microphone designed to capture sound coming from the direction that the lends is pointing. Your iPhone has 3 microphones: the rear (the hole we just pointed out), the top and the bottom.

WHAT DOES THIS DO?
These microphones can pick up sound no matter how you are holding the gadget.

The three microphones help with noise cancellation.

This way, you will get clearer sound during video calls, voice calls, and when using Siri – My favourite little assistant!

We’ll be sharing some more hidden features of your Apple device in upcoming newsletters, so head over to our new community and you will discover tips and tech news everyday!
