You don’t need a TV to watch TV
It used to be that if you wanted to watch 7’s ‘The Morning Show’ or ‘Nine Morning News’ you would have to sit down in front of your TV. They are free to watch but being confined to a TV can get annoying, especially if you’re not home!
Thankfully there is a solution! Freeview TV

The Freeview FV mobile and tablet app is downloadable via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, allowing you to live stream free-to-air TV or use on demand to watch your favourite shows on your mobile device. FV on the web is a browser version of the Freeview FV app, allowing users to watch free-to-air TV content on your Mac or PC. It’s website address is https://www.freeview.com.
IS FREEVIEW TV ACTUALLY FREE?
Yes it is!
Freeview TV is free to use by all Australians. The only thing you may have to pay for is the data you use to watch it! But that would apply to using your phone or computer for anything else related to the internet.

Freeview Plus is a service available to customers who have a certified receiver which in a range of manufacturer TVs, set-top-boxes and personal video recorders.

TEAM MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Get to know our very own Cody Fryar
Our Trainers are the faces of ReadyTechGo, and they all have great stories to share about why they do what they do! This week however we’d like to focus on one of our non-trainer team members whom you may or may not have spoken with.
In this weeks Team Member Spotlight, get to know Cody, our Administration Assistant.
Cody has been with ReadyTechGo for just over 1 year now and in that time he’s helped get our office running more smoothly than before and has organised a plethora of lessons.
Because of this we’ve decided to feature him in our newsletter this week. We hope to go through all our team so that even if you’ve only met one or two of them, you’ll know them all!

What’s your favourite piece of technology and why?
It would have to be my Microsoft Surface Pro 4. It’s so versatile that I can use it for work as a laptop or at university as a way of taking handwritten notes which I can then type up later!
Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?
It would have to be Japan! While I was only there for 8 days, it was a fantastic experience with jam packed days. There’s just so much to see and do that I’m definitely planning on travelling there again.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I would probably want to become fluent in Greek.
What is your favourite movie?
Back to the Future. It’s amazing to see what the film makers thought the world would be like in 30 years. Flying Cars, self-drying jackets and hoverboards? Sign me up!
If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?
I would have to pick Elon Musk since he’s so successful and I’m sure there’s heaps I could learn from him. I mean, he did send a car into space!
When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
If I have it on me then definitely whatever book I’m reading at the moment is. If I don’t have my book on me, then probably an audiobook I have downloaded on my phone.
Who was the most memorable client you’ve seen and why?
As I work in the office I don’t see clients that often but I definitely recall speaking to this one client to book her second lesson in. She was ecstatic to tell me how she could now listen to her favourite music on Spotify in bed, watch cooking videos on Youtube and a million other things she didn’t realise she could do with an iPad. Just her happiness and enthusiasm for learning new skills was infectious!
What’s something that might surprise us about you?
I can solve a Rubik’s Cube in about 30 seconds.
Any words of wisdom you’d like to give to somebody who may not be confident with technology?
Keep trying! Technology is a skill which needs to be trained and honed. Nobody learns how ride a bike perfectly the first time, so why should computers be any different?
